It is amazing what one will find when they go through stuff while moving. I don't know when I started this one for my mom. But here's the starting point for today and what I did today.

I started this one YEARS ago...it is for my aunt. I hope to finish it soon as well. It is hard to tell what I did today but I did most of the orange.

Approaching 2000 posts

I had intended on having this blog be more about my life but after the break-up with Scott, it turned more towards my crafts, cute dogs, and happy dances. I've decided to set up a rotation of projects (especially since I found a ton that I need to do and finish) so I don't get sick and tired of doing the wedding gift (cream and white on cream can get pretty boring quickly). So I worked on the wedding gift yesterday.

Needed a break

So I went back to working on this latch hook piece. It's been about a year since I last worked on it. Hope to get it done and then hopefully sell it.

No motivation

Without having a job (going on almost 2 months now), boyfriend not having a job, I just don't have much motivation to do much. I haven't stitched since Halloween and I NEED to get this gift done. I did go back to Weight Watchers and saw that I had lost 1.6 pounds since August so something right has happened. I search for a job every day and have been on a few interviews. But no solid job. I know that I'm overqualified for some positions that I've applied for but I REALLY don't want to go back and do the type of work I was doing before. So I'm hoping that I can get something done craftwise...just so I feel like I've accomplished something. I might even go looking for some volunteer jobs just so I can get out of the house and do something worthwhile.

Finally got back to some stitching and finally have gotten back to where I screwed up.

Getting Settled

Well, I've officially moved to the Sunshine State. Arrived here Friday night and it has been trying to get things settled since then. Most of my stuff is still in NC so it made my unpacking fairly easy. The cats seem to be settled in. Now to just get a job. I had an interview a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting to hear. Probably will end up calling them tomorrow if I don't hear from them today. Also have another interview scheduled for a job that I really can't see myself doing but I'm getting to the point where beggers can't be choosers. I haven't been stitching but hope to remedy that today.

Finally got back to this after being so frustrated after spending 2 hours frogging.

2 hours of frogging....now I'm back to where I was about a week ago. I'm very close to just giving up on this and doing something else. Sigh.

Another chapter ending

Well, today is my last day at my current job. It has been a mixed experience. Had to work with some really bad coworkers to some really great coworkers. As with every job, I've learned a little bit more about myself and what I'm willing and able to deal with. I will miss some of the people here and I'm sure there will be a couple that I will keep in contact with from this day forward. Overall, I am glad that I'm leaving here as things will be changing here very soon and possibly for the worst for the agency. I will be much happier once I move out of this state which will be happening sooner than later.
