Little update

My car is totaled. Not seeing Sami back ever again. I found this out Monday afternoon. So, yesterday, I went to get a new car and succeeded. I'm now driving a 2004 dark gray PT Cruiser. Some out there might be surprised but that was my rental car and I like how it drives. Can't stand the look of it but there is more to a car than just the looks.
The only visible evidence of my accident is my wrist which is still healing. I'll probably have a scar there but nothing too major.
Things at work are hectic and busy. Lots of changes and chaos surrounding me.

SBQ

This week's SBQ is:

Have you had a happy dance yet this year? If so, tell us about it! (Or
just point to the entry that mentions it.) If not, when do you predict
it will be?

-I've managed to finish some friendship bracelets so those are happy dances for me. As for actually stitching, nothing yet this year and I'm not sure when I'll complete the latest thing that I'm working on.

Been a while

I'm recovering from my car accident. Just some bruises and the burn that need to heal. I'm driving a black gangsta PT Cruiser until I find out what is going on with my car.
Work is crazy-trying to get all of these kids authorized so we actually can get paid. I feel like I'm doing a lot of free work since my salary has not been determined yet-not a comfortable feeling. Especially when you only get paid once a month and then sometimes not even on time. It makes me miss the regular paychecks at the hospital and the excellent benefits. Also...to the people back home...please wake up and smell the damn coffee already!
I've been making some new friends along the way down here. It's fascinating what you can learn from others.
I really need to pick up my reading and my craft work. I have been doing a little writing-nothing posted yet but it feels good to get some creativity out.

Car Accident

Well, I've been in my first and hopefully only heads-on accident the other day. I'm okay with the exception of some bruises and my wrist being burned from the air bag going off. Now I'm just hoping that my car can be fixed and that insurance will cover it. If not, I have to find a new car....with no money. Not a great feeling. But the important thing is that I'm ok and that the other driver is okay.

SBQ

This week's SBQ was suggested by Outi
and is:

What is your favorite past time while stitching? Do you just enjoy
silence, listen to music/audiobooks or do you "watch" TV/movies? Do
you have specific favorites you listen to/watch while stitching?

-I usually am watching TV or movies when I stitch-and it could be anything on

Been very hectic

Can't believe that it's been 3 days since I last posted. Lots of things have been happening. I'm now officially officially the supervisor here and since Monday, it has been nonstop madness-meetings, assigning cases, overseeing problematic workers, etc. Hopefully, I'll get rid of my caseload so I can concentrate on what needs to be done for this agency.
Friendships all around me are falling apart-nothing like the lack of communication. And no, Scott, it isn't all about you.
Cats are good....I think. I basically stumble into bed and they all try to sit on me and cuddle so they're good.
Woke up this morning to find that Tracy's dog Lucy decided to chomp away on my books and cds. All thanks to Tracy not having Lucy with her in the bedroom.

SBQ

This week's SBQ is:

What was your favorite finish of 2007?

-I'm not sure if I have an absolute fav. I'm proud of everything that I managed to finish and even happier that the recipients enjoyed the work

What's Jen been up to?

I've been working on some crafting things-a gift for my cousin and some friendship bracelets to have in store for when I set up my little online business-hope that I manage to get some interest.
Been stressed out with the lack of money coming in. My job continues to not be stable and I'm trying to hang in there but I need additional income to support myself. Hence the little business idea. Plus I need to get some writing done.
Been enjoying the NFL playoffs despite my team not being involved. I'm just hoping for some good games.
I've been recently reconnecting with some old friends of mine-mostly high school buddies. It's sad to see so many people divorced and unhappy and struggling to find themselves.
I need to find my own spot to live but don't have the income to do it. Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, I'll be part of a miracle and get some money coming in.
Have happy thoughts regarding someone special out there.
Kids are all doing well and snuggling with me like crazy.

Life in 2008

I made it back safe and sound from Florida...now with more new tires thanks to another flat. Did some time to reflect on 2007-a year that started out with so much hope and promise for the future to only end with what seems like the world moving ahead without me. It's kinda sad and lonely to be in the place where I am but I'll make the best of it. I have no other choice...unless I want to revert back to how I used to be.
