RIP Daisy
Daisy was my aunt and uncle's German Shepherd. My cousin just informed me that she was put down this morning. She had been in a lot of pain. I have a lot of fond memories of that pup but know that she's in a much better place. Love you Daisy.
Updates
Well, life is constantly changing. My uncle is still holding on. We, of course, have the deaths of Ed McMahan, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays recently. My friend at work has a new position which makes me now the senior person in my unit...gulp. I'm truly happy for her as my job is not the best suited for her but this new one is.
All the cats seem to be holding there own even though Tiger has been vomiting since last night-I'm basically keeping an eye on him since I cannot afford to bring him to the vet. Zeit is venturing out more than just staying in her sanctuary. And Suzie and Boots are Suzie and Boots.
I'm hoping to get more done on that enormous latch hook today. And I'm still trying to figure out what to make my family for Christmas.
There's been talk about camping for Labor Day weekend. I haven't been camping in years and have been wanting to go for a while now.
I'm still considering returning back to school but can't even afford the application fee-sigh. When will I ever get back on my feet?

Update
Joey's grandmother passed away. Not sure when services are or what they will be exactly. My uncle is not being moved from the hospital but nothing can be done for him.

Another 3 day weekend
And it was filled with playing with puppies, hospital visits, crafting and reading. It's not looking good for Joey's grandmother or my uncle in NY. It's just a matter of days now for both.

World War III anyone?
So anyone else think that we are headed for another World War? We already have the war going on in the Middle East that certainly isn't going to end anytime soon. And now we have North Korea with their determination to create missiles to hit the US and other countries. With all the economic woes in the world, I'm actually not surprised that this crap is happening. Just wish that people would get along and realize that NO ONE is more powerful than someone else.

This week
Has been hell. So many deaths. So many hospital stuff. It's been crazy. A couple of my coworkers lost family members. My former supervisor had to put down her cat. My cousin had to have surgery to remove a kidney stone. My uncle went into hospice yesterday. My friend Tracy's mother has been in and out of the hospital. Joey's grandmother has been in ICU. And one of my dear friends passed away. Talk about things going in 3's...try 7's, 8's, 9's.
Luckily, my kids are doing okay. My immediate family is okay. I'm doing okay despite all the stress just sitting on my upper back and I can't seem to relieve it. The new people at work are working out. The transition to a new supervisor seems to be going fine. My work schedule is back to 4 day weeks. Joey is playing music again.
I'm just hoping that this too shall pass.

Blogging Part Deux
Thank you for the comments that some of you have shared. I appreciate them. This blog has always been about my interpretation of my life-some of it positive, some of it negative, lots of it involving animals :)
For some who do not know me outside of this blog, I can see how/why people's perceptions of me are WAY off. And that's okay. This blog is only one part of who I am.
I've decided that I'm not going to kill the blog just yet. I like having my collection of cuties and I do enjoy looking at the past several years and seeing where I've been and where I am presently.

Blogging
To blog or to not blog...that's what I've been facing lately. When I started this blog a couple of years ago, I was in, what I thought, a much more secure time of my life. I started this when I was with Scott and because he had a blog of his own. I thought that it would be interesting to journal my life for the world to see. And then I started using this blog as documentation of my craft projects. Now, I'm financially beyond broke and who isn't these days? I'm not working on craft projects. My relationship with Joey isn't always the greatest. My cats' health is up and down day by day. Work is forever changing.
I feel that I've been more using this as a place to document cute pictures of dogs and not much else. Not enjoyable for everyone out there and I know that. So I guess I'm wondering if I should continue. So I ask the couple of faithful viewers to let me know your thoughts. I will not publish your comments but would appreciate to hear what you think and what you would like to read about me. I still have my book and movie blogs which I update on a regular basis. Since I haven't been finishing any crafts, my blog for selling is kinda in limbo-not that anyone ever asked for anything anyway.

Reading is back up
I actually read 8 books this past month. Wow! Almost like I was doing when I had a nice long subway commute.
